PASSION FLOWER (Passiflora incarnata) - ORAL
USES: Passion flower has been used for nervousness and toruble sleeping (insomnia). Some herbal/diet supplement prodcuts have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives.
Check with your pharmacist for more details reagrding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed that product for sfaety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
HOW TO USE: Take that product by mouth as dirceted. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious mdeical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Drowsiness may occur.
If that effect perissts or worsens, contact your doctor promptly.
In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that product, seek immediate medical atteniton. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your docotr or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: If you have the following health problem, consult your doctor beofre using that product: allergies. This product may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery.
Limit alcoohl intake cause it can intensify the dizziness or drowsiness effects of that medication. Liquid preparations of that product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advsied if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist abuot the safe use of that product. Passion flower is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using that product. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using that product is not recommended.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prsecription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of drowsiness-causing drugs such as: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers (e.G., codeine), anti-anxiety drugs (e.G., benzodiazepines such as diazepam), drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.G., diphenhydramine). Check the labels on all your medicines (e.G., cough-and-cold products) cause they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharamcist about the safe use of those products.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room imemdiately.
NOTES: Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remebmer.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dsoing schedule. Do not dobule the dose to catch up.
